The interview process started out great. They were very responsive and professional. It seemed like a great company to work for and I was excited about the opportunity. I first spoke to someone from HR and then spoke with the hiring manager. After my second phone conversation I was quickly asked to come in for a 3+ hour interview which would include me giving a 30 min presentation.
Since it was a long interview I needed to confirm when I could take time off of my current job and then used their scheduling platform to book the onsite interview (I was in communication with HR during the day I needed to confirm). Instead of getting a confirmation of the exact time of the interview, I received an email saying that they had filled the position. I was very confused since I had just been asked to come in for an extensive interview, so I am not sure how the job had been filled when the interviews had not been completed.
I was not given an explanation and I find the “no feedback” policy rude especially considering the amount of effort they ask from the candidate. It was disrespectful to suddenly stop the process, especially since I moved my schedule around and had to take time off to accommodate.
