I applied online. I interviewed at Liine in Jun 2024
Interview
Applied for the position online and completed a required personality assessment as part of the application process. About two weeks later, a representative from the company reached out to me to schedule a phone interview to discuss the role further.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me about my previous experience, education, and which products or software I was familiar with. I was also asked to briefly walk through how I would troubleshoot a basic issue, providing as much detail as I felt was relevant.

Interview
Had 3 interviews, last one being on-site. The interviews went well and the people I spoke with were very nice, but I got ghosted after the final interview. Very unprofessional.
I applied online. I interviewed at Liine in Apr 2025
Interview
Initial meeting was a behavioral interview with a C level executive. The conversation went well, I enjoyed talking with them. It appeared to be a positive interview.
Second round interview was a take-home assessment. The assessment was expected to take between four and eight hours. I was told I would be compensated for my time at an hourly rate. After submitting the assessment, a member of their team would review it and schedule a time afterwards to go over the review. This round also went well. It appeared to be a positive response, as I was told it was one of the better submissions they had received and reviewed.
After that meeting, I received no more communication. I reached out to the c-level, as well as the assessor, both with no response. I’m disappointed because I really enjoyed speaking with them and their location in the city is desirable. I’m also displeased they said they’d compensate me for time spent on the take home and have since gone back on their word.

Question 1
The take-home assessment was a challenge implementing an API endpoint. I was given a CSV of restaurant names and the days/hours they were open. The data was semi-normalized. The challenge expected an API endpoint that received a date time and would receive a list of restaurants open at that date time in response.
