Introduction call with the HR, 1 google hangout call. The overall interview process was fine but I did not like the attitude of the company itself. To get things started HR was saying that we are planning to open the office soon so you might have to come to work at the office if you are selected. Based on the current situation asking this that too before the interview is a bit of an indication towards the company. Going forward to the tech round, it was a really nice conversation to have with one of the lead engineer. He has a good grasp on the subject and our interview went on for more than it was planned. This was the part of the interview I really enjoyed. At the end of the interview, he gave me succinct feedback regarding the places where I was lacking, mainly backend advanced sections which are needed for sde3 in startups. The point where it got really bad was that they never replied after this. I mean if you start an interview process with a candidate, either a yes or a no, one should reply. But alas that is the value of people interviewing at startups in India.
