The interview gets a negative experience due to the poor conduct of the agency recruiter and the company ghosting you after the interview. Furthermore, they do not produce a black-and-white job description of the role advertised.
The process began with a recruiting agency proposing with just a job title and a company name. The interview is on-site. The company does not own a building so it operates in a co-working space therefore suggesting the possibility of extreme budgeting even though the company just had a Series A funding of 5 million according to news networks.
Initially, I enjoyed the interview as the interviewers are approachable and am getting the vibe of friendly person to work with. It is a panel of two interviewers. Lots of questions are asked and were answered without interruption (no disagreement) so it felt like the points are communicated clearly and agreeable.
The few days after the interview, the recruiter informed that I am technically sound but the salary I am looking for is over their budget. Despite with more than 7 years of mobile development experience from native to cross-platform for different companies of various sizes (startups, SMEs and MNCs), I was told that I do not have the experience.
In my résumé, I was already a Tech Lead at an European company so I do not agree to their perception. Furthermore, the company does not produce the job description and its responsibility so therefore it is a poor example of setting up expectations. Recruiter told me they had not reject my application but was wondering if I could lower the salary expectation. I did that and after that no news from neither the company nor the recruiter.
