Application was long winded, had to answer a series of competency based questions to apply. The interview was difficult, I found being interviewed by three people quite daunting, never experienced such a large panel before. I had also prepared for competency based questions and the interview felt much more like self analysis with questions such as ‘what makes you a good communicator?’ This completely threw me off. I knew the interview hadn’t gone well when the main interviewer said ‘now it’s your turn to ask questions, or if you don’t have any it doesn’t matter’. The interviewers were generally nice and supportive and I’m disappointed to not have been offered a role.

3 person panel interview, asking key questions about suitability for the role, what skills and experience I had and why I was the right fit for the university. Covered a lot of what was given in the person specification and the questions asked in the application.
