I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Leaf Group (New York, NY) in Mar 2021
Interview
There are MANY interviews: HR, one/one with a dev, followed by a project that takes no less than 12 hours, then an interview with another dev where you go over the project and then an interview with an Officer of the company
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about what type of working environment I was looking for.
Asked to give a high level overview of my job experience.
We are sorry that your experience wasn't met with your expectation. We do communicate regularly that we don't rush a hiring process as this is for the benefit of the candidate as well as the company. We encourage candidates to take the time to ask us questions since taking a new job is very important. Our tests have been streamlined recently for a more efficient process but meeting people that you could potentially work with (HR, Dev Team, Hiring Manager, and Exec) we think are important interviews to have.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Leaf Group (Santa Monica, CA) in Nov 2015
Interview
Submitted my application at a school career fair for engineers.
Got an email saying they'd like to invite me their Intern Day.
All potentials interns had to take an on-site test on whatever you we're interviewing for.
Afterword, they called you to speak with two engineers from the team. The interview questions were easy: asked about past projects and a easy whiteboard array question.
