I had a great screening call with an internal recruiter and then was ghosted until someone else on the team reached out 6 weeks later. Then, I had 2 interviews with him, including a case study presentation that I'd spent at least 10 hours on. All positive feedback in the interview. Then I was rejected 'because I didn't live in the right city' - even though I initially told them I was happy to relocate. When I followed up to reiterate this, I was completely ghosted. Felt like they use their interview process to farm ideas and nothing more. Other comments here confirm.
