Asked questions about the company and position I was interning for. Wanted to know my overall interest and what I saw for myself in the future. It was not a very long interview and felt very casual.
- What discipline interest you the most

Typical phone interview/screening, followed by a formal interview with three members of management a couple weeks later, then one final interview with the direct project manager I would report to. As a recent graduate, I felt the questions were very fair and the interview felt pretty relaxed. There were no technical questions.
- What kind of field experience do you have?

Interview was like a long conversation with a friend. I has 2 phone conversations with the principal and a few with their HR person. Overall people were extremely nice and answered the plethora of questions I had regarding the job.
- Tell me about what you have done.

Not too tough, explained the company and job role. I didnot felt its interesting and chosen to pass it. Overall experience was good. Company website and manager's explanation seemed irrelevant.
- Dream job role. Ideal qualities for a team leader.

The HR Generalist role is touted as a hybrid position of Talent Acquisition and Human Resources support as described on the job description, but after two rounds of interviews it was obvious the hiring team needed someone more experienced in all things HR as compared to full life cycle recruitment. The first round with the in-house recruiter was fairly standard with the recruiter asking some behavioral questions, and spending the remainder of the interview asking probing questions regarding a potential transition into the environmental industry. The recruiter shared the hurdles/growing pain of having acquired another organization and some of their regions in the U.S. not having dedicated HR support. The second round with the hiring manager in this group spent the hour long video interview asking HR specific questions surrounding: investigations, on-boarding/off-boarding, state and federal employment laws, sensitive conversations and not limited to employee management (PIP) experience. In the last 10 minutes of the interview I offered to share about my recruiting experiences as the interviewer had not asked throughout the conversation, and they shared that this role is heavily HR based as compared to recruiting and it was not necessary for consideration. I did not receive any follow up from the recruiter post-interview completion, and discovered that my candidacy was updated (rejected) on the company's candidate ATS website. I am disappointed in Langan's Talent Acquisition team for not having the decency to at least send a disposition email to candidates who have completed the second round of interviews.
- What are your thoughts transitioning into the environmental industry?
- Describe your experiences handling complex situations in which there is disagreement between employee and their leadership?
- How do you approach employee investigations?
- Share a time where you had to have a difficult conversation with an employee who was to be terminated.

Thorough and well thought out interview process. You typically get to meet with everyone you will directly be working with, from executive level to management level to staff level. Engaging and informative.

Great 2 step interview process. HR department was very helpful and kept me up to date through the entire process. The phone interview was very routine with basic question and answer while the video interview was ve eh personal with lots of attention paid to me.

The process was decent. Had a phone interview and then a follow up interview with a group engineering lead. Both were very approachable and the company responded promptly, which was very appreciated.
