I applied online and reached out to the recruiter on Linkedin. I was invited for a phone screen the next day and it went well. Basic questions to see if I matched the profile for the role. I was then scheduled for my first functional interview. It lasted about a 1.5 hour and consisted of behavioral / scenario questions. The guy was completely rude the whole time and it felt like he just wanted me to tumble. He didn't share too much about the role and the company and I honestly felt like I wasn't going to move forward after that interview.
Couple days after, recruiter reached out to me and said I would be moving forward to the next step which is the case study. After sending in the case study I was scheduled for my second interview. Interview lasted about an hour and the first 30 minutes consisted of him wanting me to ask him questions. The last 30 minutes, he asked me some questions and pointed out that what I did at my previous role is not the same role I would be doing here. He was a nice guy but seemed completely uninterested in me.
Three days after the interview the recruiter reached out to me that they are interested in moving me to the final stage but they are interviewing other candidates as well. She said she would let me know in two days but those 2 days went to 17 days. During this time, every time I emailed her, the response was delayed. After 17 days, I reached out for the final time and was notified that I wasn't moving forward.
Overall, the process was unnecessarily long and unprofessional. Right in line with their glassdoor reviews of being below 3. They didn't care about the time or energy I put into the process. They expected me to know everything about the company even though the company hasn't launched in the US and all the material online is in a different language except for few culture pages on Linkedin.
