I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at LUSH North America (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2009
Interview
One phone interview, followed by a group interview with about 9 other applicants. In the group interview we answered one or two "fun" questions (like, "What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?"), basic job interview questions (why would you be good at this job, what is your sales strategy, why do you want to work here, etc.), and questions about Lush and its products (what do you think it would be like to work here, what are your favorite products). You were expected to jump in and answer the questions (which is probably a test for assertiveness, etc.) At the end, we had to do a little mock sales pitch to the group for something on our person.

Group interview with multiple questions followed by demonstrating applying products on each other to mimic Lush’s selling environment. It was clear that they were looking for candidates with a certain image/appearance (i.e., “alternative”).
