Full Stack Developer (No Japanese Required) Interview

      8 Feb 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Kasuga, Fukuoka
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at LINE (Kasuga, Fukuoka) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Technical test online then 1st Skype interview about your test, it was quite good with quite good and prepared guys, programmers, I had a good impression after this interview. After that prepare for an HR interview with awkward, sad, overworked and boring guys who did not prepare for the interview at all, it will be some higher manager and some programmer. Prepare well to talk with guys that you would not like to work with and you would never hire them to your company. They didn't know what to ask for and blew up my interview coming up with questions that they shouldn't even ask on that interview. I had a very busy schedule and I could not review my previous interview. Do it thoroughly, they may dig the same questions again even if they will say that the next interview will be purely HR, they may also ask you a question that they can't answer on their own, you will not get any help from them if you will need it. Their English is not at the best level. I asked them a few questions in return about their company and they basically failed interview about the company from my side.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They always start with: Why would you like to work with us?
