I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at L3Harris in Oct 2024
Interview
The most unprofessional interview experience I’ve had yet. Actual interview was fine, they quizzed me on basic programming and C++ concepts (had to explain OOP principles and answer questions relating to them, stack vs heap, memory, etc). Then I did a live coding problem. I didn’t do as well as I would’ve liked since it’s been 2 years since I’ve coded in C++, but thought I did ok and got along with the interviewers. They never responded after that. I even got a referral, but apparently that doesn’t warrant a simple “sorry, you didn’t get it” email. To make things worse I keep getting recruiters messaging me about all of the opportunities at L3. Don’t even waste your time studying and interviewing, they’re too busy recruiting college students.

Question 1
Write a function to reverse a string in C++ without allocating extra memory
Horrible recruiter with slow responses. She didn't let me finish answering her questions, and was quick to move on with the interview. A while later, she said the hiring manager wanted to speak with me, and asked for my availability. I responded with my availability and asked for a time. She never responded and ghosted me. Now my application says it's no longer under consideration.
Got invited to a hiring event in El Segundo . You had your register via email to get invited to this event. Once at the event scan a QR code and wait outside in the lobby area to be called.
The format of the interview can vary a bit by department. The whole process can be long and somewhat repetitive. They look for answers in the STAR format (situation or task, action and result)
