I went through two telephone calls with not much structure. The first one was more about my background and then the interviewer started talking about the role and the company without asking much, I actually had to interrupt to explain a bit about my professional profile.
After that I was copied into an internal email sent after 11pm to the NYC to arrange with me for a second phone interview. I had to chase days later as they didn´t contact me.
The second chat was even less structured. The main manager of the department in NYC talked about the company for ten minutes and then asked me to ask my doubts. Nothing about my experience. I had to interrupt and link his comments to my experience because he did not show much interest on my profile, he preferred talking about the company.
They both confessed they had been around for not very long, manager in London for a month and still getting trained and the Director in NYC for under a year and both said the department was still trying to justify its existence (no procedures in place after a year, still defining their connection with the rest of a small company which can be a challenge but looks completely disorganised)
