I applied online. I interviewed at Kroger in Jun 2026
Interview
Interview was very brief and only asked me my previous employment history and availability. I was then given a run down of what the position would entail and had to sign a couple papers proving that it was explained to me. Overall not too bad and was very laid back.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger
Interview
The interview process was very easy. One location interviews for multiple stores. It is a group interview, which allows them to see how you work as a team and if you have leadership qualities. They start by breaking you up into even groups/teams. Your team performance does not dictate whether you are qualified or not. They do a good job of gauging the individual. At the end of each group exercise they relief a few people from the interview (those are individuals who did not meet expectations). They do this until the interview process is complete and they have their desired future employees.

Question 1
Create an in store demo for a recipe or product found at Kroger.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Hilliard, OH) in Dec 2025
Interview
Rote, simplistic, smarmy interviewer. Typical open ended questions regarding customer service. I got the distinct impression that I was being eliminated due to my age. I frequently shop at the store and there are very few employees over age 45.
Easy, very basic questions, pretty much just questions based on prior employment and contributions to team work.Easy, very basic questions, pretty much just questions based on prior employment and contributions to team work.
