I had an initial 30 minute interview with the company recruiter. She was very nice and informative. I then had two 1 hour interviews with team members a week apart. Everyone I talked to was nice and friendly. In each interview, we spent 45 minutes talking about my work history, experience and answered the typical “tell me about a time…” questions. I got the last 15 minutes to ask only few questions, but that wasn’t nearly enough time for me to get a clear understanding of what they were looking for. Each person seemed to have a different idea in mind. Each question I asked, I got a very generic and safe answer. I received a rejection letter the following Monday, which I appreciated. The only feedback I was given was, “I would like to note that competition for jobs at Kroger is always strong and that we often have to make difficult choices between many high-caliber candidates.”. At least I wasn’t left hanging or ghosted.
