The Human Resources department was excellent at providing information and selling the organization. Beyond that it was odd. It seemed like the hiring manager had scripted questions. The Master Black Belt only asked two questions over the entire interview and this was for a Black Belt position. I’m not sure that they were totally truthful about the union’s influence and without gauging the opportunities for improvement the expectations for cost savings per BB (1 million dollars annually) seemed high. What’s really dissatisfying is that they provided no feedback to the recruiter as to why I wasn’t pursued further as a candidate. This is a professional courtesy which I learned about my first day in the business world.
