I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Komodo Health in Jun 2026
Interview
The process started with a call from the recruiter to walk me through the role. From there I did a peer coding session followed by one-on-one interviews with both potential teammates and managers. Every step felt organized and well communicated, and the interviewers were engaged and respectful of my time. Overall a smooth, positive experience, and I'd happily recommend this company to others considering applying.

Question 1
Most of the questions focused on how I incorporate AI tools into my day-to-day work, and on walking through a specific example of an unfamiliar problem I'd faced and how I approached solving it.

Interview
It was a smooth experience and the process was quick: a recruiter screen, conversations with the hiring manager and team. It moved at a reasonable pace and was updated at every stage which was appreciated.
What stood out for me was that interviewers had actually done their homework. The questions were about how I'd handled real situations in past roles, not hypotheticals or textbook answers. It felt like a genuine two-way conversation. I got honest answers about the team, the challenges, and what success would look like. Communication was consistently warm and clear from first touch to offer. No ghosting, just straightforward updates throughout. Really enjoyed my experience and it impacted my decision to accept!

Question 1
Come prepared with specific examples from your own experience. The team is much more interested in how you think through messy, real-world situations than in polished, rehearsed answers.

Interview
Sharing this because companies have gotten so lazy with hiring processes.
I submitted an application a month ago, received no call back which is totally normal and fine. However, the rejection email I received stated they enjoyed our conversation and were impressed with my background and experience but at this time moving forward with another candidate. Here's the thing, we never had a phone conversation or spoke about my background. Hiring has gotten so lazy for these companies, they can't even send the correct rejection email or track which candidates they spoke with. Simply put - Do Better.. If you're going to send a personal rejection email, make sure you've successfully spoken to them, and let them walk through their resume and background.

Question 1
You'd have to ask them what they asked me since they responded in such fashion that they did interview me.
