The process was professional, Interview with the HR contact, then testing. Positive results from testing led to being one of three finalists for one on one interview with the divisional president. The president was charismatic. The process was expected. Within one week after the interview, I was advised via e-mail that a candidate with qualifications that better matched the job was selected instead of me. UNTRUE!! 3 weeks after receipt of the declination for the position for which I interviewed, the job reappeared online for all of the cities in which the job was open at a lower status. The job had been downgraded from SR ACCT EXEC to ACCT EXEC with the exact same job description--word for word.
Bottom line, they are trying to save money and hire more junior people at a lower rate.
