I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kmart (Bakersfield, CA) in Apr 2011
Interview
Just interviewed over the phone and never physically met the individual interviewing me. Was flown to Chicago to train for 8 weeks on how to be a store manager. They asked me multiple questions on what my work history was and if I was willing to put in the dedication and hours to get my store correct.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Kmart (New York, NY) in Jan 2018
Interview
First got a pre-screening phone call from Recruiter, then a Total of 6 interviews. NE Recruiter, Store Manager, District Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Regional HR Manager, and VP os Stores. Overall, it was a great experience. Good vibe from every person in every single interview. While it was way too long for my taste, it was a smooth process. Once one gets an offer after the interviews, you have to do a drug test, and fill out other regular paperwork electronically.

I applied online. I interviewed at Kmart (Hagerstown, MD) in Feb 2017
Interview
applied on line, phone interview, in person interview. Process was easy but too long, face to face interview person was rude and not very knowledgeable. Interview was held in the office at he store which was very unorganized and dirty. Get being interrupted by phone and people knocking on the door.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Kmart (Burlington, MA) in Nov 2016
Interview
Met 3 times, each time was with a higher level of the organization. Each interview seemed like a copy of the first just with higher levels of mgt there.
