A five-stage interview with a clear emphasis on both technical and cultural fit.
It was very smooth and well-structured, and at the end of each step, the team provided me with constructive feedback, which made the entire process feel transparent and engaging.
Initial HR Screening:
The first stage was an informal conversation with a recruiter. The focus was primarily on assessing alignment between my skills and the company’s tech stack. It was a relaxed and friendly discussion, mainly covering my background and expectations.
Take-Home Technical Assessment:
I was given a take-home assignment involving Node.js, React.js, and Storybook. The challenge was thoughtfully designed and covered many technical areas relevant to the role.
Technical Discussion:
Next, I had a technical deep dive with a member of the engineering team. The interviewer asked insightful questions, making it feel more like a collaborative discussion than a traditional interview.
Engineering Leadership Interview:
In this stage, I spoke with the Director of Engineering. We discussed my past projects and long-term goals. It was an engaging and meaningful dialogue focused on how my experience aligned with the team’s vision.
Cultural Fit Interview (Final Round):
The last stage was a cultural fit interview with the Chief of Staff. This session focused on core values, collaboration style, and how well I would integrate with the broader organizational culture.
