      Conference Planner-HR Interview

      5 Feb 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Key Media (Toronto, ON) in Dec 2018

      Interview

I applied for this position via Linkedin and got a Skype Interview request within 24 hours. The interview was the next day at 6pm, which was convenient. First impression - I kept waiting with no response on Skype or my follow up email. Thereafter, the HR coordinator replies with an apology requesting the interview start at 6:30. I said ok, and then kept waiting another 30 minutes, and finally the interview starts at 7pm with the GM-HR. The interview went pleasantly, rather I was happy to have a very nice experience with the GM. As part of the process, I was asked to do a written test to be considered for the next round. The test document came in a few hours after the interview. Worked on it over the weekend and send it to the coordinator - also received an acknowledgement email. A week later I followed up with no response, and a few weeks later, I just let it go with the realisation that they have ghosted on me. I may have not met their standards, however, any individual looking for a job, who has had a great experience interviewing with the company, would expect a more professional approach. A true professional, shortlisted or not, will take it in the right spirit. Especially after sending a follow up email for my test, a feedback/response is basic courtesy.
