I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kard Financial (New York, NY)
Interview
The people in the company seems good but otherwise, it was complete waste of time. From the very first conversation and every single conversation I've mentioned that I am open ONLY IF it's remote! While they agreed on that for all conversation they at final step they decided they wanted someone onsite!
Also seems they haven't figured out clearly what they need. I've been told they want a DevOps engineer (which I've also clearly communicated I'm willing to do only in short term) but also told they want someone to help in Backend engineering. It would be find if it was "and" but sounded like it was "or" but not sure which one!
While I hope success for them and wish all best, I'm furious with all of my time they wasted!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kard Financial (New York, NY) in Dec 2025
Interview
First round was a “recruiter screen” with the VP of Product. Second round an interview with an Engineering Manager. After that, a take home assignment and discussion about the solution. Then a system design interview; and finally a behavioral interview.
The interviews were solid and most of the interviewers are respectful. Overall, I would recommend it.

Interview
1) Call with recruiter.
2) Call with engineering leadership, discuss technical resume.
I got the sense that the interviewer was fishing for technical advice regarding how to scale his team and systems. He was never going to offer me a job.
Stay away, and do not waste your time.
