You have to prepare (ahead of time) and then teach a sample lesson (5 mins) on topic of your choice. Some people chose goofy or very non-academic subjects, like a blow-by-blow of how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It was interesting to see the variety of what people chose to teach.
