      I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at KIPP DC (Washington, DC) in May 2019

      Interview

      You apply online and they reach out to you for the first phone interview. In the past it was a series of two interviews: one brief phone call (30 min) and then a sample teaching lesson as well as meeting with heads of schools. Now, it is a phone interview (30 min), you are then asked to submit a writing sample and sample recorded teaching lesson, and then you will have interviews with heads of different KIPP schools if you pass.

      Submit an online application. Get an email asking to schedule a phone interview. Schedule up to a month later. Times are not good for international applicants. Do a 30 minute phone interview with a previous resident of the program. Answer questions about philosophy, logistics, personality, etc. ALL of your answers are typed out so the board of hiring people can review the answers you give.
