I was reached out to via email to setup a phone call with the Recruiter a few days after applying online. On the call, I was asked a few behavioral questions and what sort of culture I was looking for and where I saw my career going in the future. The call was okay, although I found the Recruiter a little condescending at times with her tone.
After the call I was sent a take home assignment which had to be completed within one hour, and after submitting the assignment I was told I would hear back from them by the next day.
The next day I got a rejection email saying that they believed other candidates were a stronger fit for the role even though they claimed this was an entry level position. When I asked if I could be given specifics the Recruiter told me that the role required a lot of organization and detail (which seemed as though she was hinting I didn't have such skills), and they felt others were a better fit, which I found rather insulting. I have worked in a position of higher seniority to this role for a few years, with a much bigger office, and the skills she seemed to hint I didn't have are my greatest strengths, and after hearing about the role being entry level I actually thought I was overqualified.
I am giving this negative review as everything they said contradicted itself and there attitude was very snooty and I just got a "we're better than you," type vibe overall.
