I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Jimmy John's in May 2011
Interview
In general, the interview was pretty easy. Most of the questions asked were general "get-to-know-you" questions. The more difficult part of the interview was the sandwich test, in which you are given a couple of days to learn how to make the different sandwiches. You have to know all of the ingredients, the order, the names, and the numbers. It is easy enough if you sit down for a while and study, but it does get rather tedious; some of the sandwiches have a lot.
Overall, the interview process was pretty laid back. I was told I got the job right after my sandwich test was graded, and I got started that same week!

Question 1
Do you have any interesting experiences that may better prepare you for this job?
They ask you to memorize the sandwiches and the ingredients in them. They make you come back and write the list and ingredients out. You are also asked standard interview questions.

Interview
Had me memorize sandwich list and rewrite it on a sheet of binder paper. I had to write each and every single one of the ingredients in each and every single one of the sandwiches that they offered on their menu. I had to do this perfectly.
