I didn't get past the screening interview as they were asking for passport documents upfront for no particular reason. I asked them to explain this need and got ghosted afterwards.
I'm sorry but this is not true. We only ask for identity verification AFTER you sign a contract with us. We do this because our Clients are now required by KYC and AML laws to collect our developer and recruiter identification documents in order that they can work for US companies. This is federal law in the United States and in many EU countries.
