      Field Service Engineer Interview

      22 Sept 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Halifax, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at James Heal (Halifax, England)

      Interview

Started off fine, phone call interview then an invite to Halifax for an in person interview with the service manager. It was a fair journey for me to make the interview with it being a remote role: but upon arrival I felt like it was a case of "I'll just get this out the way". I made the effort. They did not. It was almost like they were trying to put me off the role by talking about the amount of impoverished countries I would be visiting with eat filled laboratories. And that "the rest of the team are all ex military, how will you fit in?" Overall a poor show from the get go and in my opinion they missed out on a decent FSE with many years of experience. And to top it off. Not even an email to say no thanks. Weak sauce.
