I was asked about my motivation to pursue medicine and tested on Medical Spanish was asked to converse in Spanish with a native speaker. Never had to prove my language skill during interview for other residency interviews
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Sept 2021
Interview
The application was reviewed by the committee and an invitation to interview was sent by the residency coordinator. It was a virtual panel interview done by 4 of the faculty members, including the head of department, the program director, and two of the faculty members. All four were present at the interview at the same time and took turn to ask and answer questions.
