Vice President - Branch Manager Interview

      18 Aug 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Dallas, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (Dallas, TX) in Dec 2012

      Interview

This was a simple interview, well that how both the District and Market Managers made it feel. The first interview lasted about 2 hours, after the formal question we just sat and talked. The last interview lasted about 30 minutes, and that was long from what I understand.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Chase is big on customer service, so most of the question were based on that. It's a bank a very large bank so we talked about money, how to keep people safe, and what it would look like to work as a BM for Chase.

      Chicago, IL
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (Chicago, IL)

      Interview

Over the course of 30 days I had a phone screen with a recruiter as well as two interviews with different district managers. After the process I was made an offer and went through the background screening process. The screening that they did took about 2 weeks to come back. After the background screening clears you get a call from a special department that informs you that you are cleared to start.

Vice President - Branch Manager Interview

      10 May 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Louisville, KY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (Louisville, KY) in May 2015

      Interview

It lasted for 2.5 hours. It was going great and the leadership questions were exactly what you would expect. However, they got into the sales processes and it got really serious. The regional did a role play with me and then did one with one of her branch managers. My scenario was with an existing customer and the branch managers was with a potential customer that had just come into the bank to set up an account. The existing branch manager of course knew their products and a new customer would require more questions. They made me feel inadequate and not only was I nervous but the Chase branch manager had a few things in her favor. They said Chase had a great training program so considering I was very successful at my last branch management position, it seems obvious I could learn their sales processes. The regional promised to contact me either way in a couple of weeks but I never heard a word from her. The interview was thorough but why ask the leadership questions if all that mattered was sales! I had 3 referrals and apparently that added no value either. Extremely disappointed.
