first stage CV and cover letter were fine, online assessment was hard but straightforward. Then the 'technical assessment', which was giving a 15-minute presentation with questions on it afterwards, took a long time to prepare for, and felt very impersonal. Lastly there was a final interview, which again felt like speaking to a robot, as they would ask questions from a set sheet of paper, then scribble answers for HR to read later. Didn't really feel like a conversation at all Was asked no technical questions in the entire experience, which goes to show the kind of people they are looking for. Multiple times emails were not answered, and I was sent the wrong documents multiple times, with many of the correct documents talking about the 'graduate application process' which I was not on, or talking about an 'assessment centre' which I didn't do. After the final interview, it took them 4 weeks to get back with an answer, without any word from them in that time despite attempts to reach them. And after a 4-month process, they decline to give any feedback on any stage, which is embarrassing for their HR department and frankly disrespectful. I would suggest not wasting your time with applying to the placement roles at JLR. It seems smaller companies have a much better process and treat their applicants with respect, with applications taking less than 2 weeks from submission, to interview, to offer/rejection.
