      Concierge Interview

      21 Dec 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at JBG SMITH

      Interview

Tons of scenarios. I don't feel like that's a effective way to get to know the candidate. There were three people interviewing you at the same time, with different scenarios.

Very smooth, very good property manager at the time and she was knowledgeable about the property and the job responsibilities. We discussed the position itself and the company benefits.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at JBG SMITH (Arlington, VA) in Jul 2015

      Interview

I applied for a Concierge position the later part of June and received an invitation to a Job Fair at Sedona|Slate, one of JBGs beautiful properties mid July. There was a good amount of people who turned up for the job fair. They had us hopefulls sign in and have a seat in the lobby (which is absolutely gorgeous by the way). The job fair was a little intimidating to tell you the truth. I was dressed professionally in a nice grey suit but the JBG staff honestly looked like a bunch of male/female models walking around lol. Very impeccably dressed but they were all very nice. Other than the model thing, the interview went extremely well. They had us schedule times for our interviews before hand but that seemed not to matter when I arrived. I waited quite awhile before I was seen. I went through 2 rounds. I was first called in the office and was interviewed by two lovely ladies who wanted to know about me and my job background (customer service), also why I thought I would be a good fit for the job. They thought I did well so they sent me back to the lobby and told me to wait to be called again. I waited again- about a half hour or so- before I was called back into the office. This time I met with the property manager. He asked me why I thought I would be a good fit for the job, if I was comfortable working independently, and if I was open to working other shifts (I originally applied to work overnight) I asked him my questions as well and took notes. The interview ended. We shook hands, smiled, and parted ways. The next day they offered me the job. I took one day to think it over before I accepted.
