      Interview

You have logic/math tests - they are pretty basic but be quick. At the end there is a small easy case question. Then you may get invited to an in-person selection day in Toronto with about 10 other applicants. They spare no expenses in accommodating you. You have a 3-min presentation to do about literally anything & there is a long group activity - the problems are not hard but they want to see how you work in a team and nothing more. My experience was that everyone tried talking over each other and very few actually contributed to solving the problems. There also is a 10-min interview with 2 partners where they ask very personal questions - they seem to have some kind of mold. Afternoon is case studies & there is a dinner, and then another interview the next day. I'll just point out 2 observations 1- The work they do isn't that complex, and they even allude to it. If you made it to selection day you are a good enough problem solver and so what they seem to be looking for mostly is your communication skills and your personality (ie if they would like to have you at their many company activities or trips in the south) 2- They are really focused on diversity, which doesn't always align with merit. They seem to look to meet certain quotas, so although they say they hire as many as they think are good enough, you likely are competing against only a few people for a fixed number of spots - but this seems to be standard across companies these days Overall, not a bad experience, but don't set your hopes of landing an offer too high - you are either the type of person that they look for or you aren't

      Interview

Group interview onsite. They would call you out one by one during group activities for individual interview. The whole process felt like a MICRO AGRESSION to me. I'm a visible minority, prior to the interview I noticed they have few minority employees. Walked into the premises, it validated my thoughts. ALL other candidates were minorities and all interviewers were white. During individual interview they asked me: where are you ORIGINALLY from? then followed with When did you come to Canada? It seems their emphasis was on choosing someone who could strongly represent certain minority groups, but thinks and speaks like a native. The candidate that barely talked in the group interview moved forward to the next step. The whole process made me feel uncomfortable.

      Interview

Ghosted after virtual interview (2nd round). Do not apply to this company, they don't have the basic decency of replying to multiple emails just to confirm the status of the application. They only pick people from 1 specific university.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Isaac Operations in Nov 2023

      Interview

The selection day goes something like this: 1. A 3-minute presentation on any topic of our choice 2. First teach session 3. Group activity 4. Behavioural interview 5. Second teach session 6. Case study prep 7. Case study interview 8. A 25 minute data analysis test If a candidate passes selection day, they have to clear another round of case interviews. On the whole, an etremely lengthy and unecessarily rigorous interview process. Also, totally unrelated to the interview process but the team did not seem very racially diverse.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. What is your weakness? 2. What is something that you think ONLY you can understand very well but might be difficult for others?
