      Early Career Campus Recruiter Interview

      3 Feb 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Invesco (Atlanta, GA)

      Interview

I applied for this role in November, and the interview process felt unnecessarily dragged out. My initial phone screen was scheduled for December, but it had to be rescheduled because the recruiter forgot their laptop in the office. After that, communication was inconsistent—I had to follow up multiple times just to get a response. It took six weeks after my first interview to finally get scheduled for my second interview in January. After I completed my second interview, the job title was changed from Early Career Campus Recruiter to University Relations Manager without any prior notice. I was never given the opportunity to ask interview questions that aligned with the new role description, which feels unfair. A week after my second interview, I was informed that they were moving forward with other candidates because the role had shifted to focus more on relationship-building—which is exactly what I do in my current role. The feedback felt vague and unhelpful. Overall, the hiring process felt disorganized, unresponsive, and unnecessarily long. The recruiter was not proactive in providing updates, and I had to chase information at every stage. Additionally, changing the job title and focus after interviews were completed without notifying candidates is unprofessional. I expected better communication, efficiency, and transparency from a company of this caliber.
