      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Instructure

      Interview

First contact was from the hiring manager, then multiple video interviews. After that, I was flown out and invited on site for a half day of various interviews with individuals and teams. Lunch was provided so that was nice. I flew home under the impression that a decision would be made shortly. Long story short, I was strung along by the company, invited to continue competing in additional tasks, and even though I sought to be very candid about my own deadlines with other offers, I felt Instructure was not honest with me. If I had known of their indecisiveness and issues procuring enough salary room in their budget to fill this role, I would have not wasted almost three full days worth of my own time with their asks. I get the process is often complicated, but I truly felt it was a very bumbling affair. What sealed the deal though? Being asked to go above and beyond for an interview while my potential team stared at their computer screens completely disconnected and disinterested. Know interviews go both ways and even though I was very excited to work for the company, I now feel like I made the right decision to sign elsewhere. HR was great though!
