I interviewed with the hiring manager who assaulted me with rapid-fire questions, no pleasantries whatsoever. I didn't think I'd hear back, but then they asked me to interview with one of the position's direct reports, who was totally hostile on the interview.

I went through a phone screen with the human resources representative and also a video interview with the hiring manager. The process took about a week to 10 days for the two interviews.

All interviews were remote, since I don't live near the DC area any longer.
First interview was a phone only interview. I talked with the editor in charge of the pub I applied for, plus he also managed a few others.
We had a good chat. I think I would have enjoyed working with him. Ultimately they went with another candidate.
