Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In the technical interview round, most questions were around application designing and manage configuration in an excel sheet using the spring application.
They had a phone call then onsite. The phone call guy was chill and stuff. However, one person on the team who interviewed me on site was being kinda unfriendly and even elitist. I mean I was a bit nervous being my first full-time onsite interview and even if I said anything stupid I don't think she should have expressed that so obviously. She made my interview experience worse. Also they never reimbursed me like they said they would. I am unsure if it was just an accident but they still haven't replied to my emails.
We're very sorry you did not have a better experience with us. Employee conduct is very important to us so we are addressing your feedback with internal disciplinary action to stop other misbehavior or misinformation in the future. Thank you for letting us know.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Index.com (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2017
Interview
Recruiter call to discuss interests, then set up with a video interview, and then onsite in their SF office with 3-4 rounds including a pair programming session. Also got to see a demo of the product by someone in business, which was a really nice touch in the interview process, as not a lot of other companies would take the time to do so.
The interview questions were around medium in difficulty, with follow-up questions that help either optimize the solution or scale it to larger inputs. All the interviewers were really nice and helped guide me through some of the questions.
Ultimately, I didn't get an offer but the interview experience was very positive.
