I applied online. I interviewed at Independence Pet Group (Ohio, IL) in May 2026
Interview
The screening interview went really well, the recruiter was extremely friendly. Explained the process clearly, including how long the next steps take, pay, licensing, and training. There were questions with a mix of average interview questions and veterinary tech type questions.

Interview
Thorough. There were several rounds, but I met with future teammates and had the opportunity to do a vibe check. There's not much else to say, it was a job interview.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Independence Pet Group in Jun 2025
Interview
A recruiter from the company reached out and after we spoke about the role, I was set up to speak with the hiring manager. A week later we had a 30 minute discussion and after following up with the recruiter, confirmed the next round interview with two members of leadership in an adjacent department, which went well. After that, everything fell silent. I reached out to the recruiter and the hiring manager and received zero response. 3 weeks later I reached out again one final time and was told that the hiring manager hadn't responded to the recruiter and she had no clue where they were on filling the position. Seems like a waste of time to go that far (especially after admitting on the first call that they were eager to fill the role) just to ghost a candidate that is ready to make a move.
