I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ITECO (Sofia, Sofia (city))
Interview
I applied through agency. First interview was very positive, I spoke with a senior dev. and their HR, we had a very good conversation and after that I started a technical test. Several days later my agent said that they liked me very much. But this was the last comment for another 3 weeks. They were not responding mails, nor phones. Finally they said they've closed my position for the moment, although it was still around the IT jobs sites for another month. On my question through my agent, they finally said that the position is opened and we made a second meeting with the CEO. The CEO is quite a good professional. I was declined on the reason for a bad test performance. Even though I agreed for a way lower salary, they declined me a week later. I said that the test was irrelevant for a senior (for example half of the questions were on mechanical remembering of functions params, which in the era of Google is a total nonsense, but anyway). They did not sit with me to comment any mistakes I did, though they insisted for my performance to be way below expected. They did not even offer a real-life project for skills demonstration.
I suppose they're looking for a particular guy to fit into their team, but their feedback is awful, which breaks the experience and might draw away the potential "him".
Weeks later I found out that other people have applied for same position there and were also declined for incompetence, with a similar process of non-responsiveness and unclear communication.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most difficult were the questions to show a mistake in a function call, as parameters orders, parameters type, which for a senior position is a stupid question as more important things there are as skills and knoledge, than mechanical memory.
