      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at INE (Cary, NC) in Mar 2020

      Interview

Bait and Switch approach.... The recruiter reached out within a few days of applying on a job board website. The recruiter explained the role in detail and provided me a set salary and OTE range. The role seemed like a great fit and the salary was competitive to other similar positions. During the middle of the interview process, I confirmed the salary again with the Sales Manager just to make sure the information provided was correct. The response made me feel comfortable and that we both were in alignment. Before my long face to face interview, I was asked to submit my base salary range on my application. Again, I indicated my expectations and felt great about my manager, new teammates and perceived professionalism of the company. A few days after going to my final lunch interview the verbal offer came in and the excitement slowly faded when the recruiter went over the base salary. It was twenty thousand dollars less than provided during the ENTIRE INTERVIEW PROCESS! The recruiter was giving out the total OTE as the base salary. BIG RED FLAG!!!! What is most upsetting isn’t that false information was provided which made both parties waste time and resources on hours of interviewing but that their internal processes was unable to catch this error? If you are a future candidate what I can tell you is this: 1) This is a seemly honest company and they were so eager to hire a candidate that they didn’t do their due diligence. They needed to fill this position ASAP. Slow down the process, make sure you ask your non-negotiables upfront and ask for clarification. 2) The Sales Manager is incredible! He is worth working for and if provided the correct data upfront, I would have accepted the position because of his leadership. Remember people stay because of who they work for… 3) Great co-workers! People seem genuine and down to earth. You will enjoy the maturity of the office.
