The recruitment process consisted of three interviews.
The first one was with HR and was quite informal, focusing mainly on behavioural questions. The other two interviews were with managers.
They asked no technical questions. Instead, the focus was on behavioural competencies such as teamwork, problem-solving, handling challenging situations, and how I applied what I studied at university. Although the behavioural questions were demanding, they weren’t the hardest part if properly prepared using the STAR method.
The most challenging aspect for me was the in-depth company-specific questions. I needed a very solid knowledge of the company, its sectors, and even the plant in Ramosa. They asked about the main challenges in the industries they operate in, how the current geopolitical situation affects (and might affect) the company, and many other topics that require thorough research.
Never seen before any interviews so company-centred.
