Overall the interview process was fairly straight forward but there were a few red flags that made me decide not to pursue this opportunity.
First, the hiring manager was digging about current and past compensation which is illegal in more and more states including the ones for this role.
Second, I would be expected to work uncompensated for ICF until the final (non-conditional) offer was received.
And last, I would be expected to have 4-5 interviews for this role.
No thanks. If that's how interviewees are treated, I don't want to be an employee for this company.
