1. Design Test
This stage evaluates the candidate’s ability to think creatively and apply engineering fundamentals to practical design problems. Candidates may be asked to sketch, model, or propose design solutions for automotive systems, focusing on innovation, functionality, and feasibility.
2. Technical Test
A written or online assessment that measures core engineering knowledge. For mechanical/automotive roles, the test typically includes questions on thermodynamics, strength of materials, vehicle dynamics, manufacturing processes, and applied mathematics. It helps Hyundai assess problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and technical accuracy.
3. Technical Interview
Conducted by domain experts, this stage evaluates in-depth technical understanding and practical application. Candidates are asked questions related to automotive engineering, design projects, internships, software tools (e.g., CAD/CAE), and problem-solving scenarios. Focus is on real-world applications, innovation, and clarity of thought.
4. HR Interview
The final stage assesses cultural fit, communication skills, and alignment with Hyundai’s values. Candidates are evaluated on teamwork, adaptability, career aspirations, and overall personality. HR also discusses compensation, job role expectations, and future growth opportunities within the company.
