      I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hopin (Tampa, FL) in Aug 2021

      Interview

      The way the interview process ran, It definitely gave me a negative impression of the company. I had 2 rounds of interviews and then a month later was sent the official rejection letter, but honestly I rejected them after the 2nd interview. I was a referral-- and the first recruiter just never reached out. So my referral reached out to a different recruiter who set up a phone screen with me. Quick and painless and the recruiter set up a meeting with an existing customer success manager. Can I say that this Customer Success Manager seemed like he HATED his job?! I asked him what did his day to day look like, and he COULDN'T ANSWER. He basically said oh there's not alot going on, since the team split up, where one side is focused on technical work, and the other is focused on customer relationship. He then also went out to talk about how it's been challenging to work in a COVID remote environment, and how people are expected to work late, so it's harder to disconnect. After this interview, I decided the Hopin was not for me. I was waiting for the recruiter to reach out with my rejection so I can share the feedback, but they ghosted me for 4 weeks, and I finally got an automated email. You guys should really think about who you are having conduct interviews as interviewing honestly goes both ways. As I highly professional candidate, I had ZERO desire to work alongside this person or for the company.

      The process was straight forward which I really appreciated. They moved very quickly setting up next stage after each interview. I had three interviews and then I was asked to do a presentation and the time allocated for that meeting was 30 min which I found was too short. I was stopped half through my presentation as we were running out of time for the feedback and questions. The feedback was fair, it just seemed very rushed as they had to go. I haven`t heard anything from the company for a week. Then I received an email saying that after a chat with the team HR would love to talk to me. We booked a video call the next day. The person joined with the camera off and announced me that they have decided to hire another person. I asked for the feedback, the last I could ask after being through the whole process, the person was incapable to do so. The call lasted 30 sec. Very disappointing experience. I would prefer receiving an email, as simple as that. I found it very mean sending me an email with a positive language, giving me hope, setting up a video call and keeping me waiting for it, blocking my afternoon. All that, just to say no. It ruined my experience.
