Interview was 2 rounds, met with RA and then with economist I would be working with. Asked basic questions about my resume and if I was more of a math person or language/reading person.

great process, very professional, and very role specific. Must have some technical knowhow of quantitative aspects involved in Econ research, as well as qualitative research and writing abilities. Good communication skills required as well.
