I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hooters (Lansing, MI) in Apr 2021
Interview
One on one with the manger. Really nice. Clear about work expectations. Day and night shift expectations. We talked about what the training process would be and what the menu/bar test would be like.

really quick, less than five minutes total
but it was during a busy time
Very quick and straight to the point. They asked about myself, a little bit about my experience, and they gave me a chance. One of the most amazing parts of the process is the automated messaging system they have for hiring. My interview was mostly smooth because of this feature.
The process involves submitting an application and then getting screened for an in-person interview. When I went for my interview, I met with the hiring manager and answered questions about my availability, customer service experience, and my interest in working at Hooters. They also asked about how I'd handle different situations and checked if I understood and aligned with the Hooters culture. The interview focused on appearance, attitude, and my ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. It's important to be flexible with hours since they have varying shifts. Overall, the interview aimed to assess my fit for the role and the unique Hooters atmosphere.

Question 1
When I interviewed at Hooters, they asked me about my previous customer service experience and how comfortable I was with a fast-paced environment. They inquired about my availability for shifts, especially on weekends and holidays. I was presented with hypothetical scenarios to see how I would handle them, like dealing with a difficult customer or managing multiple orders during a rush. They also wanted to know why I was interested in working at Hooters and whether I understood and embraced the restaurant's unique culture and image. Overall, the questions focused on my skills, attitude, and how well I'd fit into their team and atmosphere.
