      Sales Manager Interview

      23 May 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Phoenix, AZ
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HomeLight (Phoenix, AZ) in Feb 2022

      Interview

Horrible experience / waste of my time. I interviewed for a Senior Sales Manager role, initially met with a recruiter and went through 3 rounds of interviews (this was in a couple weeks time frame) then it was crickets, I was advised that I'd meet with some other counterparts across the country. The conversations went deeper and was led to believe the initial role...due to my experience would expand, at this point two more interviews were scheduled including the COO, at this pont I'm thinking not a great experience but hey this might all be worth it, based on feedback and what they might be williing to offer!! What a fool I was!!! Should have seen right through red flags, after over a week of silence...I am told that more people want to meet with me as they want to know If I can further help in their most lucrative division of the company. I am in Sales so that speaks volumes as their Salary was on their lower end but with the commission would have made up for it. Then after talking to yet another recruiter, I meet directly with the President of that division. Sound promissing? Well not so much! I am advised that I will meet with the right hand person to see if it's a good fit (After 6 interviews, you are questioning my fit? Fool me twice!!) I meet with last person and seem to go well. I am advised an offer should be provided in next few days! then after a few days they start asking for competing offers and push the dates, at this point I just said, I am sorry but please remove me from any possible opportunities with the company. it is simply not worth it. I have never wasted my time so much with a Company, especially with high leadership!
