Had a first interview with the head of the team and the person currently in role. Very standard and perfectly pleasant. What followed was baffling. I interviewed on a Thursday and they said they wanted to have second interviews 2 weeks later with a view to appointing immediately. 7 weeks on, and I've still heard nothing from the agency or Lovells. The agency said that the recruiting manager at Lovells didn't know what was going on, then they said that someone 'probably had a cold'. They said they would get in touch with me the moment they heard something. Nothing. Admittedly, this could be the agency, but what a very poor candidate experience. Even if I was shocking at interview - and I don't think I was - at least have the courtesy to tell someone they haven't been successful. A lack of care or a lack of competence? I guess I'll never know.
