Had x3 interviews with 5 different members of the team for senior architect role in their Seoul studio.
Directors seem like nice guys on the outset.
But won’t give you any idea (in fact hide from you) about the project you could be working on.
Made me an offer and had me agree a date and start preparing packing, so on to move half way across the world to Seoul, South Korea, and then told me about a week before I was ready to go that they were still interviewing candidates and they’ll let me know if I was successful later. Essentially keeping me in their back pocket whilst they look for better options. Breaking down any trust/relationship we had developed.
Assume it was because I had a questions over projects, benefits, working hours (overtime compensation/ time in lieu).
FYI; You have to sign the acceptance letter, before you get to see the terms of the contract! Apparently that’s the way they do it at HETA…
