Interview
I applied online, got a call back a few weeks later to attend an open house interview. I went and got an personal interview on the spot with the human resource personnel and Area manager. I had made up my mind not to take the job while I was walking away but the area manager called me back and persuaded me to continue with the interview process by completing the drug test and background check. I was offered the job after that.
\The interview process can vary depending on the company, role, and level of position, but typically, for technical roles like Data Engineer or similar positions, the interview process might look like this:
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you describe a challenging data engineering problem you've solved, and how you approached it?"
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hertz (Estero, FL) in Dec 2024
Interview
First contact was with Recruiter, with virtual a meeting. Next interview step was a follow up teams meeting with Manager hiring for the position. Manager advised the next step would be a skills evaluation test and onsite interview. There was not another contact from the recruiter or the manager. Followup on the website regarding the application then reflected the interviews being deleted. This came across as unprofessional. A simple email response stating that the company chose to go in a different direction or hired someone else would have the respectable next step to end the process

Question 1
Simple questions were asked regarding work experience.
One interview for an hour and tour of the facility . Interview was easy and they managerial staff was very nice. Meet with 2 managers from different regions and they explained the job responsibilities to me.
